The Wooden Bicycle

Tom's bicycle is not made of carbon fibre, titanium, or aluminium. It's handmade from sustainably sourced laminated walnut — crafted by Belgian boutique manufacturer Zafi Cycles specifically for this round-the-world expedition.

The wooden frame is an engineering statement: lighter than steel, naturally vibration-dampening, and visually unlike anything else on the road. Paired with a carbon fork, gold Garbaruk chainring, DT Swiss wheels, and a 3D-printed Posedla saddle — this is a world-tour machine built to last 29,000 km.
